An-Nu'maan bin Basheer (RA) I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessing be upon him) saying: "Certainly, that which is lawful Is clear and that which is unlawful Is clear. However, between the two are doubtful affairs about which many amongst the people are not aware. So, he who fears the doubtful matters and avoids them has indeed safeguarded himself with regards to his religion and his honour, but he who falls Into the doubtful matters falls into that which Is unlawful, like the shepherd who grazes around a sacred land may be he grazes In It. surely, for every king Is a sanctuary, and truly the sanctuary of Allaah are His prohibitions. Verily, In the body is a morsel of flesh which, if it is sound, the whole of the body will be alright and which If it is diseased, the whole of the body will be diseased. Certainly, it Is the heart."
