Emergence Of The Beast And The Fire Which Will Gather The People
This beast will be one of the signs of AlIaah which will emerge at the end of time, when evil will be prevalent and corruption will be widespread. Goodness will be scarce At that time. This beast mentioned by AlIaah in His Book:
"And when the Word [of torment] is fulfilled against them, We shall bring out of the earth a beast for them, to speak to them because mankind believed not with certainty in our Aayat [verses of the Quran and Muhammad]. {Q 27: 82}
Undoubtedly this beast will differ from what people know of beasts. For example, it will address people and speak to them. -We have mentioned a number of ahadeeth in which the Messenger of Allaah counted the emergence of the Beast as one of the major signs of the Hour The Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said:
"The beast will emerge and will mark the people on their noses. Then those who are marked will live among you until a man buys a camel and will be asked, from whom did you buy it? He will say, from those who are marked on the nose. " [Silsilat al- Ahadeeth as-Saheehah]
The Fire
The last sign which will appear before the Hour begins will be a fire which will emerge from the bottom of Aden and will drive the people towards their place of gathering. We have quoted above the ahadeeth in which the Messenger [peace and blessings be upon him] listed the portents of the Hour. He stated that they are ten,
"and the last of that will be a fire which will emerge from Yemen and drive people towards their place of gathering"[Muslim]
In Bukhaari it is narrated from Anas [RA] that Abdullah ibn Salaam heard that the Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] had come to Madeenah [i.e at the time of Hijrah]. He came to him and asked about some things. He said, I will ask you about three things. What will be the first sign of the Hour? The Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] said:
"The first sign of the Hour will be a fire which will gather them from the east to the west... [Bukhaari]
In Sunan at-Tirmidhi it is narrated that Abdullah ibn Umar [RA] stated: The Messenger of Allaah said: There will emerge fire from Hadramawt before the Hour begins, which will gather the people. The people said, O Messenger of Allaah, what do you command us to do? He said, You should go to Syria. " The land towards which the people will be gathered is Syria. The Messenger of Allaah [peace and blessings be upon him] said:
Syria is the land of gathering and the resurrection [Ibn Majah]
