Man dies not taking along any property. For those who die as Muslims, and are buried according to the teachings of Islam, they are buried with just their shrouds. For those who bury their deceased with some property, both the corpse and the property are decayed and swept off by agents of denudation.
Everything gets destroyed except Him, the creator of all things. Then at the blow of the trumpet, Allaah says:
" ... then afterwards when He will call you by single call, behold, you will come out from the earth (i.e. from your graves for reckoning and recompense)."(Q30:35)
Nude and Barefooted
Then the people shall stand before the Lord of Creation barefooted, naked, uncovered and uncircumcised just as they were at birth-at the beginning. Allaah says:
"As we began the first creation, we shall repeat it. {It is} a promise binding upon us. Truly, we shall do it." (Q21:104)
The Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) said:
"The people will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection barefooted, naked and uncircumcised. (Bukhaaree)
Aa'isha (RA) hearing this asked the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) saying:
"0 Messenger of •Allaah! Men and women together? Each of them will look at the other" He said, "O Aa'isha the situation is so difficult much more than a group looking at the other." (Muslim)
A sleep?
While the believers in Allaah and the Last Day know the reality of this day- having been taught by the Messenger of Allaah sent to them, those who disbelieved and doubted the reality of the day will wonder at the situation they find themselves. Though they would have been severely punished in the grave for their disbelief, the fear and hopelessness that befalls them at Resurrection make it appear like a sleep. "
They will say: Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep, (Q36:52.)
Just for an Hour
The unbelievers had been unjust to themselves, on the surface of the earth, associating partners with Allaah and disbelieving the Messengers of Allaah. They had disobeyed Allaah acting Just in accordance to the dictates of their basal desires. Some had thought that they would never be raised up while others had lied that they can never be brought back to life after death when they knew that the one who created from nothing is Able to repeat His creation.
So, just like they had lied and disbelieved the Messengers, they lie again that their stay on the surface of the earth and in the graves was just for an hour Allaah says:
"And on the Day that the Hour will be established, the Mujrimun (criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, Sinners, etc.) will swear that they stayed not but an hour, thus were they ever deluded"(Q 30:55)
A Promise Fulfilled
Then Allaah says:
"And those who have been bestowed with knowledge and faith will say: Indeed you have stayed according to the Decree of AIlaah, until the Day of Resurrection, so this is the Day of Resurrection, but you knew not., (Q30:56).
Allaah also says:
"(It will be said to them): This is what the Most Beneficent (AIlaah) had promised, and the Messenger spoke the truth’’ (Q 36: 52)
