Cheating in exams- [A Big deal]

As students, examinations are a constant part of our lives. We often approach exam periods with some fear and worry. No matter how hard we read, we still feel that our best may not be enough. Just thinking of the questions and how they would be asked is enough to make our hearts beat wildly. What of the D-day? Exam days mostly seem different. Depending on how prepared we are, we wake up with mixed feelings. For those who have put in a lot of hard work, the expectations are always high while those who are not adequately prepared feel unhappy and would be glad if the exams are postponed.

The truth however is that whichever of the two categories we find ourselves, we still experience some amount of anxiety. So, apart from reading, what other preparations do we make for exams? Of course we get all our writing materials ready- it is always better to take two of each item to the exam hall so that you do not have to spend precious time looking for another when your own pen or biro disappoints you for instance. The most important thing asides reading and revising is making dua for success during the exams. Because we trust in Allaah, we turn to Him for assistance during this period, believing that it is only by His Mercy that our efforts can be crowned with success.

Okay, so we do all other things that we feel are important to make us do well in the exams. Let talk about the exams proper, we are always warned before we start exams to keep away all books and get rid of all pieces of paper around us. We are also warned not to talk to anyone during exams. We also hear things like "no giraffe and so on. All these are just to ensure that we behave ourselves during exams. Your guess is as good as mine that some people always turn a deaf ear to all these warnings and go right ahead to cheat as much as they can. From the beginning of the exam to the end, it is cheating galore for some students!
