LOVE, FEAR AND TRUST

Love: The statement of Allaah the Most High, "And of mankind are some who take others besides Allaah as rivals (to Allaah). They love them as they love Allaah. " (Q2: 165) And "Say: if your fathers, your , sons, your brothers, your wives, your kindred, the wealth that you have gained, the business in which you fear a decline, and the dwellings in which you delight are more beloved to you than Allaah and His Messenger (Q9:24) The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "None of you believes until I become more beloved to him than his child (children), his father (parents) and all of mankind."(Bukhari)

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings be upon him) also said, "Whoever has three things in him has found with them the sweetness of faith (al-Eeman): That AIlaah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else besides them, that he loves a person and he only loves him for AIlaah, and that. He hates to return to disbelief after Allaah saved him from it, just as he hates to be thrown into the Fire." (Bukhari) Fear Allaah says, "It is only Shaytaan who suggests to you the fear of his Awliyaa (supporters and friends), so do not fear them but fear Me if you are believers." (Q3:175)

Allaah's Messenger said, "Whoever seeks to acquire the pleasure of AIlaah at the expense of peoples anger, AIlaah will be pleased with him and make the people pleased with him. Whoever seeks to acquire the pleasure of the people at the be angry with him and make the people angry with him. "(Ibn Hibbaan).

Trust: Allaah says, "Put your trust in Allaah if you believers indeed." (Q5:23) And "And whoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He (Allaah) will suffice him." (Q65:3).

Ibn Abbaas said (concerning the verse), "AIlaah is sufficient for and He is the Best Disposer of Affairs (for us)." (Q3:173). lbraheem (peace be upon him) said this when he. was cast into the fire and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said it when they said to him, "Verily the people (polytheist) have gathered against you (a great army), therefore, fear them. But it only increased them in faith." (Q3:173) (Bukhari)

IMPORTANT ISSUES

1The obligation of loving Allaah and his messenger more than the self, the family and the wealth.

2. That eeman has a sweetness that the person may find or may not find.

3.That mankind .should fear Allaah only.

4. The reward for fearing Allaah and punishment for who abandons it.

5. At-Tawakkul {trust in AlIaah} is from the obligatory duties.

6. At-Tawakkul is from the conditions of faith .

7. The great status of the statement "Allaah is sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs) and that it was the saying of lbraheem (peace be upon him) and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in times of distress.
