Answer: To be an auto technician one needs to exercise a lot of patience. This is because it is a profession that is more complex than most of the other technical skills that people acquire. Also the person who wants to be a motor mechanic should have an inquisitive mind i.e. asking question whenever he does not understand anything. A motor mechanic cannot afford to make too many mistakes because a little mistake from him may cause more damage to the vehicle and may even claim lives. In addition, he also needs a level of education. Though it is not compulsory, it will be an added advantage especially as he might need to attend to customers who may not understand his language.

Answer: Although what is common is that most motor mechanics are male, however, the profession is not discriminatory i.e. both the male and female can acquire this skill and practice it. Today we see women learning it and practising it. The only problem that may come up is that due to the nature of what is involved in the job such, having to lift heavy materials it may be difficult for women to practice it.
Another problem that may also arise for the Muslim women is the fact that they have to dress Islamically which may make it difficult for them to practice it. It is inelegant for Muslim women to be in this profession.

Answer: It takes between a minimum of 3 years for someone who is a quick learner and five years for someone who is a bit slower as a learner.

Answer: We are living in a world that we can not do without vehicles. And these vehicles will necessarily have faults and there is need to put them back into proper shape. 2. Spanners, pliers, screw drivers: There are various kinds of these instrument but they are all used to loosen bolts and nuts on the part of vehicles.

4. Piston cramp: This is used for coupling engines.
5. Spring Cramp: It is a device for holding things together especially shock absorbers.
